ok fixed!! seems that ESS doesnt get along well with the firmware, fixed after i just ran latest firmware for the router. info here in case...
the installer has bugs, 1 way i got round it on my laptop was to instal the RC1 and then instal the final version over the top of it
think ill wait.. i dont use outlook express anyway so not affected by the bug that this release fixes

had a similar problem on my laptop, i had to frst instal the RC1 then instal the 3.0.551.0 on top of that
