that 1.4% or 4% can become 50-60% on a low-end CPU real quick. either way, this CPU usage thing doesn't seem to be related to how VS functions...

i haven't noticed any abnormal CPU usage from VS. I would suggest deleting the appdata/voodooshield folder that has the settings and reinstall VS....

VS has online whitelist syncing so i would assume it's normal.
you sure you didn't mistake the popup with VS failing to launch on boot?
