Actully , the best way to use it is to back up to an external HD + 'restore' from it is a lot faster. Try dvd/RW instead-at least you can 'erase '...
Well , on MY add/remove programs it shows MY Acronis #10 taking up 154 MB of space so I don't think that's too unusual-depends what version you...
No , not from what I've read on here-supposedly can make the size bigger. However I DO defrag the hard drive on computer right before I make a...
There might be a VAT on it (value added tax). Not sure though.
That's strange-mine won't work unless I hook up the Ext.HD FIRST ;Acronis won't 'see it' otherwise. I guess you try it for whatever way works for you.
Well , I deleted one by rightclicking it & going to delete. However it says,"You can't delete this but do you want to try it anyway "; so I did it...
Well I just got # 11 too but saved it to a cd/rw bcause #10 works like a charm-just fixed computer due to a bad update for the 5th time since...
Try & reboot it ;it MIGHT help.Maybe even defrag it.
I forgot to mention that- my bad.
Well , you should do a test restore ; if it's 'bad' what good will it do if you NEED it someday only to find out it DIDN'T work. If restore...
Let us know-was thinking of buying one of those 8Gs myself in case ext.HD goes bad ; you can never have too many backups!
My pleasure ; that's why we are here !;D
Exactly-NEVER leave ext. HD in there unless you're using it. If your computer gets infected then that will be too maybe. It won't be too good then.
If you mean updates they've released two of them , I think but mine works with #10 as it was so I left it at that. If it aint broke then don't fix...
That's peculiar-I have an Inspiron 1000 with Logitech wireless & never had any trouble with it OR Acronis. Color me lucky , I guess.
You DO have to hook up the external hd FIRST so Acronis can 'see it'-won't see it otherwise.(Just in case you didn't realize it). A mistake I'VE made.
Mine did , I think-have heard other people on here say that.I think EACH version has a serial no. ' Unless I misunderstood it but you can't use...
You have to uninstall the 'trial version' but must have both serial numbers when you re-install the paid version. The startup disk should work from...
I assume you restored from it successfully? (The best way to test it).;D
Yep , it was from windows. When I purchased program it still wouldn't work (Trial version restore) & I had to delete it, re-install & then do a NEW...
Once trial period runs out it wouldn't work for ME; I doubt if you'll be able to use it.On Mine the 'next' part on the wizard was 'grayed out '...
Thanks-just used it on mine !
The only way to test it's success is to do a restore from it-hope you validated it too.
That's EXACTLY what it's for-to fix it or even 'tune it up every so often but use an externall HD-your best bet! BTW ,I just fixed mine with it...
Well ,I always defrag right before a backup on my C: drive but I've read on here you shouldn't defrag the E:/ (external HD) so I don't touch that one.
