It might be a missing driver. I'm assuming you have a drive hooked up. Broken link-who knows but someone more knowledgeable than I should be along...
My pleasure!! ;D
I'd do a complete backup of everything ; might not be necessary but , who knows? Err on the side of caution I always say.;D ;D
From what I'm told , you have to uninstall the trial version FIRST-will mess it up otherwise. Good Luck!!:D
I hope not!;D
Well , I installed Serv. Pk. 3 with Version 10 & didn't have any problems so you should be OK.
They probably changed it then-don't know what else to tell you-try googling it but don't expect too much but good luck.
"Downndirty " is right-use an external HD or even flash drives-they've come down in :) price a lot.
I saw his number once on Google but doubt if it's there now.???
Well , I backup and restore from an Ext. HD AND an 8Gig flash drive-disks I would only use as a last resort. THAT's the best 2 ways to go IMHO.
Well, I'm not sure about scheduling them ; I just do backups every so often when I make a significant change to it. If you're on the computer ,...
Just use 'backup1,then, backup2 etc. Should work.
Same as me with version 10-takes about 20 min to restore from about 3.5 G-not complaining though.;D
Well, I have Acronis 10 & just downloaded SP3-so far , so good!;D
I would email Acronis ; I'm not sure how to help about that. Good luck.:)
Stick with what you have being THAT one works.(If it ain't broke then don't 'fix' it).I took the new upgrade but don't use it.;D
I only restore every so often so If I go back several months I would have to restore the Win updates I 'lost' in the meantime since then. If you...
I don't use 'restores' every day so you would have to if you only did it every so often like I do(when something goes wrong with my computer). If...
Well , I wasn't referring to using the Win disk-jus*puppy* t Acronis restore which is what I do.
If I'm 'reading you right' , a restore will do that but you'll still have to re-run your updates.;D
Well ,some say to clean out your temp files, internet files, etc + wastebasket too. Might or might not help but good luck!:)
"Truthseeker" is right + Acronis is supposed to be faster for restores than Vista Ultimate too.;D
Well, to have EHD connected FIRST -that's all. Possibly could be cable itself but shouldn't be that if it isn't used much.
You have to have drive you're restoring from hooked up FIRST. If you didn't , just close out Acronis ,hook up the one you want to use & THEN bring...
If the motherboard or chipset, hardware, etc. is different it can/will give you  problems based on what I've read on here.
