No. You do not even have to download it. I just purchased another one and received the code via email. Added it to the others I have stockpiled...
When you install webroot it automatically installs the newest version and you'll enter your keycode and be good to go.
If you are like me and just purchase when it is on sale on Newegg (or Purplus), then there is no auto-renewal.
