Personally, I have never used any DNS, but you can try the Norton DNS. It's better.
There's no need to use any other program alongside CIS. It's more than enough. Use Chiron's configuration to boost it even further....

I was experiencing that issue with Comodo FW installed, so may be, it's a software compatibility issue between the two products.

@waters: I had Comodo installed first and everything was ok until I installed BD and Chrome got broken.
My Google Chrome is suddenly greyed out (entire page) and I can't even browse with it. It's dead. I'm certain that it's BD again.
