The next test will have both detections of one week and one month old samples.
Not very surprising; immaturity from a crappy company.
IBK had said that he would test Trend Micro and Panda. We finally got to see their scores. I was leaning towards a fail for Panda but i guess...
That makes three of us. I have never trusted av-test's results. Microsoft has never been better than Kaspersky. Perhaps one day, but no way it is...
It was AVG Anti-Malware that was tested. Open the pdf report and then find the word note.
The arguments against av-comparatives by a certain individual had many holes, and I wouldn't take them seriously.
Within the antivirus testing tips report of May 2007 released by av-comparatives, it states that the set of clean files should number at least 10...
65 000 is quite a small number compared to av-comparatives' number of at least 10 million.
I even remember VB having infected files in their supposedly clean set of files.
absolute bs just by looking at clamav's score.
I think "users need or preference" should be changed to users' needs or preferences.
Perhaps Fortinet will get serious about removing that paranoid heuristic now that their product will not be tested in 2008 by av-comparatives
There is an error on the report. It says that Avira got 99% on both tests but it didn't. On the first on-demand test, it got 98.85%. Or is it...
So biased. ca lacks sufficient protection and yet it stil gets 72% overall...
I wonder if in the scan speed test, Fortinet was tested without its heuristic on. If it was, I wonder if its scan speed would have differed with...
Avira needs to fix the html heuristic or their product will always be penalized for too many fp's. Every fp I've had in a while are all from the...
I wonder if Fortinet was penalized for too many fp's even though the heuristics were turned off lol... or was it because it scored too low.
Sophos getting a high score = instant fail. Also, everybody knows ClamAV's score shouldn't even nearly be that high.
I predict Avira will get knocked down to Standard because of fp's but will score high. I wouldn't be too surprised if Avira gets the most...
Where did you get that from? Like IBK has said, virusinfo is certainly not powered by virus bulletin.
Oh thanks for clarifying
Well Panda will not participate in Clementi's test until 2008 and unless I am mistaken, Marx does his tests at random. It is probably a scheme...
I wouldn't be too surprised if each sig detects one piece of malware.
I used to have adaware and Antivir 6 would pick up things when Adaware was scanning.
Yeah they choose not to participate. i think think may participate in 2008.
