heuristics are used in the on-demand tests. if no heuristics were used the only AV that would do any good would be kaspersky.

yes, it does indeed use the Avira Antivir engine and i think it also modified it a bit. Either that or they added their own engine to it also.

TrendMicro antivirus is average. maybe even below average if was tested by Av-comparatives.
