“So if you named each increment by the day of the week … ” No, you never really ‘name’ an INC or DIF. When you set up the task, you refer to an...
“If I set it up this way. Would the scheduled FULL automatically overwrite the old file? Also are you sure the DIF (or INC) would overwrite on the...
As I said, "The only time TI alters the MBR (AFAIK) is if you opt to use the Startup Recovery Manager." TI will never make changes to the MBR...
Addendum: I was able to boot – so my experience does not match the situation you asked about. Sorry. If the bad guy infected your MBR or the...
This happened to me and all I did was restore from a partition image. I’m guessing that even with the virus/whatever data still on the disk, one...
The only time TI alters the MBR (AFAIK) is if you opt to use the Startup Recovery Manager.
Also, remember that each consecutive DIF will get bigger and take longer to run. INCs tend to be smaller and less time consuming.
“Maybe I'm not set up right …” Keep in mind that only when you create a FULL backup image do you actually give the file a name. INC & DIF backups...

Just an addendum to deleting files: If you have, let’s say, 3 files that were all created from the same task (they are really just 1 segmented...
FAT32 can only handle files ~ 4GB. Any larger and the file will be split. This is a file system restriction, not a TI one. You can select any of...
Maybe we're getting our terminology mixed up, but you can't boot from an image; it's just a file. If you cloned your drive, you should be able to...
Can you reinstall the OS, download and install TI again and then run the restore from the internal HD?
The problem is not with existing images; it’s when creating new ones. Since TI backs up “in use” sectors, defragging the SOURCE drive can cause...
