ZA 9 did have one HIPS, it would offer to block files coming through IM's. I hope it hasn't been removed from ZA 10. :o

I've never seen a firewall that avast! wouldn't work with. :o I put avast! on my computer first then OA. Two a/v's will conflict. ;)...

ZoneAlarm Free Firewall v10 may be a great fw, but the ui sucks!!! :( V9 has a great UI.;) I hope ZA 10 will soon be given ZA 9's UI.

6.51 has weak inbound filtering, but is designed to run alongside Windows fw safely. What about '7.1?
BTW, I had no problems with Mozy & ZA on XP. I'm using 7 64bit now with Mozy & ZA, no problems. I suggest you look elsewhere for your problem.

ZoneAlarm Free is the matching fw for avast! Free. :) BTW, avast! 6 has a built in sandbox, so you don't need Sandboxie. ;)
