Just clicked check for updates on Win 10 1903 and got a new May Cum Update 4505057. It just installed once this time. Interesting....
I do have an SSD, but like I said above, there was no double install on 1809, only 1903.
That's interesting too. I have a 1809 build which didn't double install, while the 1903 build did. It almost seems kinda random...
Yep, now that I think about it, I think it has happened to me before... I just don't remember which version or when... Seems like it should be...
This one installed twice on my 1903 here.... after that, it stopped. So no big deal. But weird.. :)
Yeah, all of mine just did that too... must be some server problem or something...
I just upgraded from 1809 to 1903 in the insider slow ring on a 10 year old Asus laptop and it went fine... not a single issue...
I usually go ahead and install the latest when it comes out because I always have a Macrium image from the previous month to fall back on if...
I've installed the update in question on Win 7 here and have no issues at all. Then again, I have no antivirus installed either, so... :)
Interesting... I loaded 2 different 7 images I have here yesterday, and on both I have "Recommended" unchecked... on both, the update in...
Totally agree... This is (IMO) the only way to go... :)

I restored my 1803 image yesterday and got this error when it tried to update. Went back to linux for now... Will try again in a week or two and...
I installed MX-18 a few weeks ago when it came out and was amazed at how nice it is. I have a very old (9 years old) Asus laptop with a core 2...
I also used Rufus on MX-18 with good results, no problems.
Heck, and it only took 3 1/2 years to get there... :)
I just installed MX 18 and love it... it's great. From what I understand, the MX releases are once per year, near the end of each year, so MX 18...
That's good news... I found 18.04 to be very well done and a good alternative to Win when you want one. Nice that they extend support for so...
I just did a clean install of 1809 today and then let it do the November updates, and so far I see no problems/issues. I was even pleasantly...
Yeah, it might be a bit of a stretch for average Joe, granted. A lot, perhaps even most, of the users aren't even aware of such things. Good point.
This is exactly what I have always done with Win 7.... install every important update the day they come out, and if there's a problem, roll back...
Yep, this is pretty much my impression also...
That's pretty amusing actually... so now it's suddenly "ok"? :)
When I installed 1809 clean, I ran into some weird Edge bug where if I opened a 2nd tab or did anything that opened another window on the desktop,...
