Hello, I have a license for look'n'stop and i have been using it with no issue for some time, recently it popped up looking for a license number at startup so i got out my licence e-mail and got the validation code and entered this only to find that it will not validate. One thing that is different though is the Code, the previous code contained in my registration e-mail was F6CE6E1CE84A, whilst the code currently shown is D919CECDE4C3 and i cannot see anywhere to change the code. Please advise what i should do? I tried to send a message to looknstop@soft4ever.com but it bounced with the following message:- A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: looknstop@soft4ever.com
Try lnssupport@soft4ever.com , used this one in the past for support. My problem was fixed within the hour.
Resend the email as it is the right email addy and only due to a glitch should have it been sent back. As for the code it cannot be changed. It's the serail number that will. Have you reinstalled lns on another computer or even installed another operating system as this would explain the change of code
I have upgraded the PC recently, so that will probably explain it then. look'n'stop is only installed on the 1 PC however. I would add that i have recently installed Vista Home Premium 64bit on my machine and intend on using Look'n'stop on that as well so that it will be protecting Vista and XP on the same machine (Dual Boot), Does that mean that my code will change AGAIN when i install Look'n'stop on Vista? I imagine quite a few folks will have this issue if thats the case.
Yes any change of operating system on a machine will issue a new code for which you then need a new serail number. An email to look&stop providing details of old & new code will get you the new serial number Response is usually pretty fast. Your code is valid for 30 days without loosing application filtering so don't panic.

I have an updated licence now, thanks for the help. But i was wondering, will this happen to loads of people when they upgrade to vista and 2.06? And will i be able to legally use Look'n'stop on a Dual boot system with Xp and Vista on the same machine? I suspect im going to need another licence code again when 2.06 comes out and i put it on Vista, meaning 2 licence keys, one for each OS, even though its one machine.
Look 'n' Stop v2.06 is an 'e-mail/serial number' combination (and not a 'hardware ID/serial' combination as in previous versions) which means that the same e-mail address and serial number can be used to register LnS on both operating systems, am I right? But this brings up an ethical issue: If one person buys one license for LnS, shouldn't that person be entitled to use the same registration info on 2 operating systems on the same PC if he/she is the only one using the PC? Ryan
Hi RyanM, This is not a issue, it is allowed to use the same licence for multiple OS on the same PC. Even with the 2.05 version this was not an issue, since we were giving a second serial for that particular case. Regards, Frederic
