Yourself, doing it manually.Make a backup first before you delete anything.

    Hi

The registry is somewhere I dont like to venture but I have used
Registry First Aid and Tune up Utilities for quite a long time and
personally never had a problem yet.

I've used jv16 PowerTools and it actually screwed up my registry, so I wouldn't recommend it. Now I use System Mechanic. Having some obsolete registry entries is far safer than deleting the necessary ones.

'RegSeeker' & 'RegHealer' git Rico's endorsement.

If you haven't bought anything yet to improve the performance of ur pc then get TuneUp Utilities 2007. It has lots of tweaking functions suitable for beginners and non-technos....that is aside from being a great Registry Cleaner it also has many features that will blow your mind off. Its new Disk Explorer features really is one of their big additions for this new version. ;)

I'm hoping they'll also add a speedy defragmenter into this super-program to make this a complete pc friendly machine. :D ;)

I use 3 free reg cleaners. They all suck. Why? I still found references to all programs i installed!
Sure, they find lots of things, but not what i want to be found, like all the uninstalled program entries!

On the other side, there's paid products. Maybe they do it. But i trialed some, and hey, there's still those entries...

So, Regedit, or Registrar Registry Manager.:doubt: (as in, do it yourself...)
    Backup as pugmug said.

But hey, what do i know?!
