As long as one owns the versions paid for with a valid license it is rather ok. And it has to be SUPER easy to cancel and with a popup reminder within the program a month before renewal/end. And for returning costumers there should be a discount. Like 10% year #2 and 20% year #3 and from thereon. A good idea is to have a 2 year license with a 30% lower cost than the initial price.

Windows will continue to change rather much the coming years so adding options of cleaning there will be plenty of.

If a registry cleaner will be added, there should of course be a option also to run sfc /scannow.

Lastly, lifetime licenses is just silly since no one can estimate what that is, and for whom. Long term, that is another thing.

I would like to support Shane. He did fantastic work at Tweaking. I currently have System Ninja Pro ($14.95 per year for up to 10 PCs). I have two PCs. System Ninja Pro does a great job of quickly finding and deleting junk. I have been using it for almost ten years now.

SirCleaner Pro is listed at $44.95 per year for one (1) PC. With the Canadian exchange rate, I would be paying well over $100.00 CA annually for two SirCleaner Pro licenses.

That is too costly for me. As others have suggested, I recommend that Shane take a second look at the price of SirCleaner Pro subscriptions and compare his prices to the offerings of the competition.

I have not used SirCleaner, so I have NO comment on how well it works, since I don't know.

Just my two cents. Have a great day.

    Regards,
    Phil

44.95?? I know I have that set for the 3 pc one and 1 pc at 24.95 US. I looked up 24.95 us to can and its 34.27. geez!

I only compared prices from some other popular cleaners in USD and made sure mine was cheaper. I know that since I'm only in Oregon and we have no sales tax that I dont have to have tax on any of the orders for anyone, so thats a plus for users.

I will take a look at system ninja as well.

And looks like I should be making some coupon codes for discounts, everyone loves discounts lol.

I used the portable version back on May 18, to remove Skype, but I don't think it worked, effectively:

    It is still installed.

Its not an uninstaller, it just removes junk files and other files that are safe to delete.

In the past I was using CCleaner but I had to uninstall it since it kept popping up from time to time and it's become a nuisance (very boring).
And I haven't used any PC cleaning software since.
I wanted to try the SirCleaner software and downloaded the free version from the website but I can't install it. I get the message in the attached image.

Thats very odd, What version of windows are you on?
The download buttons are here. Installer is an exe file and the portable is just a zip file.

The links on the buttons is just a way for me to count how many downloads of each file, here is a direct link to the installer and portable

Does it open if you right mouse click on the exe and select Properties, look at the bottom of the General tab as there may be the message, "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer". Next to this is an "Unblock" check box. Tick the box and click Apply.
(Of course you may have already installed from the above links.)

    Thanks - forgot the process
    Question:
how to perform the cleaning scan? I've got " selected 0 of 127"
Do I have to check all the boxes prior to scanning?

    @SirShane ,

My apologies. :( You are right, Shane. I just checked your site again today. It is $24.95 US for one (1) PC; and $44.95 US for three (3) PCs annually: https://sirsoft.io/buy-sircleaner-pro/

The System Ninja price is only $14.95 US annually for up to ten PCs: https://singularlabs.com/club/join/

With the US exchange rate in Canada today, I would still be paying over $60.00 CA annually, not counting the cost of the exchange fee for my two computers.

If I had more than three PCs, but less than ten, the SirCleaner annual subscription rate rises to $64.95 US.

I wish you every success, Shane, but SirCleaner is too expensive for me.

    Have a great day.

    Regards,
    Phil

PS: Sorry that you got such a frosty reception at Bleeping Computer. :(

Yeah wasnt expecting that over at bleeping.

As for the 3 pc one, what does everyone think about me increasing the number of pcs on that one instead of 3? Same price but more pcs that can be activated with that one. Maybe bump it up to 5 or even 10? Make it a real savings vs the 1 pc?

Tech version is pretty much unlimited pcs.

You can also right click on the tree view list for quicker selection options or even use one of the presets at the top in the drop down.

Wonder of I should have some things checked by default on a new install?

Im thinking of changing the 1 pc to 19.95 vs 24.95 a year. Keeping the tech version which is pretty much unlimited the same and changing the 3 pc to 5 or 10 pc and keeping it 44.95, or maybe even dropping it to 39.95.

Any feedback? Again since its just me doing everything, it means I'm learning some of this ad I go lol.

The SirCleaner by SirSoft.io thread didn't last long on BleepingComputer Forums. Some grumpy buggers over there. :isay:

I guess it's a try it and see thing for you. Sounds reasonable in comparison to some others.
