"I installed Windscribe VPN, & Adguard & enabled WFP Driver option & restarted the system And got "Windows is getting ready, Dont turn off your system". The process took app 30-40 mins." I thought adguard ( paid version )had it's own vpn?
new version out: 6.1.290.1526 what's new? appears to be out of beta in rc mode. https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForWindows/releases/tag/v6.1.290.1526-rc
Those ads i was getting were caused by a chrome extension i was using it looks like. It is no longer in the chrome web store.
Why? You have to tell me why in my Adguard the EasyPrivacy and Malware Domains list are not updated since Nov 18, please see the sreenshoots in post #1874 below = #1874 https://www.wilderssecurity.com/attachments/adguard-2-jpg.255176/ https://www.wilderssecurity.com/attachments/adguard-jpg.255174/
Yeah, that's wrong indeed as it was updated ok on the server side. What if you check updates manually? Is it ok after that? Do you use the RC or stable version? Yep, we will add it eventually, but it will likely to be after it comes out of beta.
v6.1.294.1539 RC3, installed Filters: Adguard uninstalled (settings kept) - reinstalled, problem remains. Manual update: same as above. Both filters removed - added again (Add filter by URL / Add selected) via "add selected" option, problem remains. Few minutes ago, updated to v6.1.296.1549 RC4, problem remains.
Right click in taskbar icon, from drop-down menu select "Tools" > "Open filtering log" Keep the Filtering log open. Start browsing. Go back to Filtering log now.
@ avatar, fyi: The working version 6.1.296.1549 RC4 uninstalled, this time settings removed ("Remove along with settings" option selected) and stable version 6.1.258.1302 installed. All filters updated. Please note the difference in versioning for EasyPrivacy between Adguard 5.jpg [ 6.1.296.1549 RC4] (#1892) and Adguard 6.jpg [6.1.258.1302 stable] (#1897)
Version 6.1.296.1549 RC4 installed on top of the working stable version 6.1.258.1302. EasyList & Malware Domains updated normally only 2 times, then once again: not update. Again, clean install of stable version 6.1.258.1302: All list updated normally. It's obvious that only the beta versions have the update bug.
Adguard 6.1.296.1549 has just been released! Details: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForWindows/releases/tag/v6.1.296.1549 Spoiler: Release Notes This version should be considered as a revision of the Adguard for Windows 6.1 release. The full list can be found in descriptions to prior beta versions. EDIT: I should correct myself. It appears as though Release Candidate 4 has been accepted as 6.1 final release. These 6.1 release candidates have been rock solid!
AG for Windows already blocks everything. However, DNSCrypt itself prevents you from others seeing your DNS requests. Just in case, what version of Windows do you use? Could you please send me Adguard's log files? Archive whole %programdata%\Adguard\Logs directory. You're right, there was a huge change in the filters update functionality, so there very well may be some bug.
