Could you please look at this thread and let us know which setting we should change to stop AdBlock Plus from being reset in Microsoft Edge? Or even better, could you work on a fix?

In CCleaner I've found disabling Edge cookie cleaning stops ABP from being reset but I'm struggling to find the correct setting in PrivaZer. I've excluded the ABP cookie in Edge cleaning but that didn't work.

Edit: It turns out I also need to uncheck Edge Internet Cache in CCleaner as well.

Thanks to another excellent Nirsoft utility called ExecutedProgramsListhttp://www.nirsoft.net/utils/executed_programs_list.html i discovered that Windows keeps track of every single executed program not only in MUICache and prefetch but also in Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Persisted Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store more on that here: http://journeyintoir.blogspot.hr/2013/12/revealing-program-compatibility.html No current program that I know of deletes these entries completely. CCcleaner offers to delete them only if the programs themselves are not present (in registry cleaner "applications paths"). The only way to remove "problematic" program is to delete its entry manually in Windows Registry.
How come Privazer does not detect these registry items?

not true, I ran the nirsoft pgm and there are lots of programs that I execute regularly that are not listed.
I can't explain precisely but the list is only of programs that have some compatibility flag set.
It's interesting that the last executed date is scrambled, I think that Privazer does that, so it has to be aware of those registry keys.
The "Last Executed ON" for Privazer itself is shown as being on "2193-09-09 08:41:07" which was really today "2016-08-30 08:41:07", i.e. the time is not changed, just the date.

 

Interesting, i only have the following in my XP/SP2

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags

I happened to use regedit.exe about 10 mins before i ran "ExecutedProgramsList" but when i ran it it only shows regedit.exe - File Last Modified & File Created On. The same goes for the other programmes it lists ? I'm not complaning though !

Hi, what do think about including erasing MountedDevices entries in future, safe to or not ?

 

I am wondering why W10 puts all my executed programs in that AppCompatFlags registry location.
Maybe it could be because I have custom DPI set, so all programs are automatically set to run in compatibility mode?

I note that the one click internet traces button will not work if I have previously unticked internet boxes in the main screen. Surely the one click loses its novelty and practicality if I have to look elsewhere before using it. Can you not make the one click operate for the relevant items without referring back?

In respect of scheduled tasks I cannot see how to have more than one task time. For instance MFT takes so long on my machine that I do not run it with other cleans. I clean MFT on its own (has to be with disk space) whilst I am still using the machine- may miss some entries but it can chug away for the requisite hours whilst I continue. But I would like to set this as a scheduled task. I can do so, but then I cannot set a full clean as another task at a different time as there seems to be only one time slot selection available and no ability to have different items selectable from the menu for different time slots. Any chance of having this enhanced?

Then could you change the scheduled time to allow minutes as well? I.E. start at 07:30.
Currently the schedule has to start at the top of an hour.
