I don't have an OSX device. As said elsewhere, any proactive (i.e. not needing hand-holding) OSX developer with a mindset which matches the project's spirit can jump in and fork to do whatever work is needed to bring uBlock Origin to Safari.
uBlock Origin & Chrome. As we know, the so called Medium mode (refering to wiki) is perhaps agreed the most a quite normal user can handle. Now it does not block cookies. I never needed to bother this with running same time uMatrix and it blocking all the cookies by my global rule. There is the setting in Chrome ... Settings-> Privacy -> Content settings.. Block third-party cookies and site data Now I came to think that this would be a good idea to select if running only uBlock Origin. It is unselected by a new Chrome browser install, I think. Have any of you found it brakes the sites that you have used, or ticking it is the best thing to do with running uBlockO?
Would ublock be possible on IOS? Adblock plus has just put out an IOS version that fully supports Safari all you have to do is enable it in Safari settings and it blocks ads like desktop.
Can I ask a silly question: If I block 3rd party in a site that means that this way I block and 3rd party scripts and 3rd party iframes also?
Yes, unless you defined specific rules for 3rd-party scripts and 3rd-party frames which would override 3rd-party. See here for more details.
Thank you, just got it works great especially for a mobile blocker compared to adblock plus and stuff i tried on Android. Only problem is its limited to Safari would be nice to have blockers work on Chrome and Firefox because i have sync for windows. Since i currently have a windows pc i cant use Safari.1 I plan on getting a mac later on but until then kinda sucks i cant have my Boomarks sync between devices.
How do I block the anti-adblocker message on forumsdottweaktowndotcom? I am using both lists on Ublocko but they aren't working.
Either use a cosmetic filter to hide it or follow the guide at https://github.com/reek/anti-adblock-killer GreaseMonkey for Firefox based browsers, TamperMonkey for Chrome based.
@gorhill hello raymond, if you don't mind, may i ask you to review #1503 post. I am interested in your input on the inconvenience issue i mentioned there...
https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/114 I consider the sticky toolbars suggestion as being part of that issue, which I read as "make the UI of the My rules pane more friendly". General rule, I prefer to come up with my own solution to issues, so even when people submit suggestion of solutions, what I keep in mind are the issues those suggestions of solutions are trying to solve. The issue at hand here being "make the UI of the My rules pane more friendly".
Thank You!This will be an welcome improvement! And as usual keep up the the great work Selected Inline Script Blocking is great
How can i block a script which is embedded in a player and i get an ad popup every time that i click play or pause?
As usual, it's not possible to provide any useful answer without providing all the details for others to reproduce this on their own computer.
