In the pre defined scan profiles there was one called Complete System Scan. I don't see that one now and I wonder if it is simply called Full Scan now in the latest version of Avira Pro. I want the profile that gives the most coverage. I just completed a reinstall because out of the blue it said I had an invalid licence. Everything is fine with the reinstall.

Is there proper comparsion between free and Pro 2016 versions? I'm considering should I replace Windows 10 Defender with Avira as it seems to do very well atm. Pro is version is not that expensive neither (http://store.fileforum.com/p32875-avira_antivirus_pro_2015_3-pc ) but I do not want anything else except good AV without any 'banking/social media' protections (and bloatware). WD is still ok but I'm not convinced with it's detection rate + for some reason Microsoft has decided to remove single file scan possibility via right click menu.
Additional features in Avira Pro: 1) Web Protection (aka Avira WebGuard): https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/avira.345492/page-96#post-2404694 http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/avira_antivir_premium.html 2) Mail Protection 3) Technical Support
Thanks for the links. Though your second link is pointing to Internet Security instead of just an AV. It seems that in my case there is no point of paying for Pro version. Btw is free version still poping up some ads or such?
When your computer boots With free version , you will see ad for the paid version but you can close it instantly.... (so thats a small price to pay when you use something for free, close once a day a pop-up)
Is there any way to block it because it would be silly to pay about 35€/year just for a single pop up 'block'. Thanks for the info anon. It seems that in my case WebGuard is useless for me because I'm fine with Chrome and common sense.
Sometimes common sense is not enough...... Have a look in the screenshots from an "innocent"* webpage (driverscape.com). * = http://zulu.zscaler.com/submission/show/0d802d4920f2c159c199452fd49c2316-1442755426#
