I did Acronis TI 2015 - restore an image to a new raw disk and it worked beautifully. Never tested with IFL but I believe it should also work.
The problem with AOMEI is it;s too young and used by not as many users.

Just to report that I purchased v6 utilizing the 20% off coupon (thank you for the suggestion!) for $33.56 USD even though I had purchased 5.3 before November (I'm pretty sure).

Now, is Froggie or someone else going to put out the first "how-to" video?! :thumb:

IFL does work when restoring to a new empty HD. UEFI or MBR system.

Thanks for the info. A solid product should possess such an ability.

I just installed V6 and am pleased to say that at this point the program looks fairly straight forward to use. The interface is user friendly which I really did not expect. My only criticism at this point is that when you click on "Help" you are taken to a "Page Not Found" web page.

Cool! I'm about an hour north of there. I know Arvada well.

It's supposed to go to the User's Guide but apparently that didn't make it correctly on the new site.

Feel free to pass it on via <Support {AT} Macrium {DOT} com>... they'll fix it pretty quick.

Unfortunately no. The only way I could get a PDF, is to open each page, and print it to a pdf file, and then combine them. I am afraid that is more work then I have time for. Just ask some basic questions here and we can help you.

Good morning, PCfan. There's nothing available yet... BUT... Macrium is currently working hard on updating and improving their documentation as they have launched a whole new Knowledgebase for Version 6. As part of this process they will be providing an official PDF user manual which is completely new for Version 6. They are nearing completion of this effort and hope to have it ready shortly. It will be made available through their website and Knowledgebase so keep an eye on that.

Meanwhile, I'm playing with the above effort a bit and may have something to look at soon.

    From the FWIW Dept...

Although the new v6 site states that the Macrium Support Forum is fully available to TRIAL users... it is NOT. That Forum, as it has always been, is only available to LICENSED users (the TRIAL license is not acceptable to the Forum REGISTRATION portal). Support states that if TRIAL users need assistance, it's best asked for through their normal SUPPORT Portal at... Support {AT} Macrium {DOT} com.

Would they provide free updates for the current major v6(say for Home edition) just like they did for v5?

Standard home edition V6 upgrade from V5 is $41.95 unless you were fortunate to get a coupon.

So far they said on their forums that the update to v6.1 will be free for everyone.
