Does it work sometimes? If it NEVER works you might have some other security app blocking MBAE. Try using both verification methods listed here.

Can you please expand and post/PM logs please?

Can you please post/PM logs please?

    Yes :)

Couldn't agree more with this !!

Yes counter works most of the time. If I can isolate when it is not I will post again. I have tried calculator test and it is blocked so I know MBAE is working.

  3. Great, loading EMET 4.1 for Outlook (5 crashes Outlook & IE11 when closing) and installing MBAE for browser (guess that is what freeware version will be protecting only).

I have to disagree, ugly software is annoying :D, but I do know what you mean.

And did you see the slick new GUI in HitmanPro.Alert version 3?

I won't change a pretty looking GUI for a single false positive, for example.

And if it's one of those false-false positives aimed to make you buy a license ... you know what I mean.

I installed it on 2 PC. On one PC I installed it over the previous version. It runs OK on both PC.

MBAE is the most silent beta I ever had. :)

Re: #540 we don't have any immediate plans to change the UI. As for the old site, it's long gone. We are building a new reporting system but that's not in place yet.

As for the MBAE Exploit Test, it's a memory exploit running from the heap with WinExec. Anti-exe's might detect the payload if it is new to them but also might not detect it if the payload is file-less (reverse shell, etc.).

I know i can't do anything about release dates and development, but how long is this thing planned to be "in development" ? It seems like it's taking forever and the end is nowhere near...

I'm also very interested in the MBAE roadmap (if any), as I avoid to use betas.

This is the first post I've made in this topic and I'll keep it short.
I've used Anti Exploit in its first stages (before Malwarebytes affiliation) on XP and now on W8.1.1
Even though this program still states beta I personally have had very few issues and the ones that came up were resolved quickly. The program has stopped exploits over the months and continues to provide what I believe to be an important addition to layered security and runs quietly in the background.
"Beta" yes but in my years on beta testing security software programs this so called beta in very stable and does the job effectively.
One could say all software that is continually being developed and patches/etc applied is really in constant beta.:D

Well I want to try it out, but MBAM need to add other browsers to the supported list. I am using torch browser and personally I use browsers other then IE, firefox and chrome. Browsers based on them like dragon, coolnovo. SO unless support for these browsers is added then anti-exploit would be of no use for me and for many others for sure.

So can I safely browse the internet with fully unpatched IE6 with MBAE?

A nice GUI, to me anyways, shows that the developer takes pride in their work, that they want to make it appealing to draw potential buyers in.

People do the same with everything else out there, they sell products not only for it's functionality, but also for it's appeal.

How many times you bought something, because it looked good (Car, House, Computer, Microwave, etc.)? I'm sure you bought something in your lifetime, that looked appealing to you, I know I have.

I think the same goes for software, both functionality and it's eye candy.

Why not have a product that functions well, but also looks good overall.

I have used MBAE for a few months. Grrreat!

Even if MBAE becomes non-free I hope it continues stand-alone. I will buy it, as such.

If MBAE ever becomes solely available as a component of MBAM, I will have to examine other options, such as the one from HitMan. I have a paid MBAM license but MBAM 2.0 has turned me totally sour on this app. 2.0 weighs a ton & came out in release form even tho it was as buggy as an alpha. In result, I have lost confidence in the wisdom & ethics of MBAM's proponents. :cautious:

I do NOT want to have to drag MBAM's dead weight around in order to use MBAE. Puhleeeeze keep MBAE available as a stand-alone!

I have a question. On windows 8, what is better and stronger, EMET or MBAE?

Also it will be a standalone free tool or paid one or it will be integrated into MBAM?

    Thanks

Yes @bellqamin, it will remain stand-alone

@aiqle, EMET is very good, but we think that MBAE is more complete and more user friendly.
