This morning Chrome has auto updated to 33.0.1750.154 and Identity Protection is blocking several of its DLLs on my system (XP32).

Specifically, I need to allow the new "libpeerconnection.dll" on Application Protection for Chrome to work.

Other modules blocked are "ffmpegsumo.dll" and "pdf.dll".

Many thanks! I don't think uninstalling and installing again applications is an elegant solution in this case, to be honest, Chrome auto updates frequently.

I have also noticed that WSA uses to set to 'Deny' some Chrome executables in temp folders.

Maybe today's block was triggered because the first time that I launched Chrome after the update was through another application (Online Armor), I'm not sure.

And about sending a log file to support, I have sent three during the past two weeks for different motives and nothing has happened. My support tickets didn't went through for some reason or maybe they were simply ignored.

No worries, you're welcome :) I'm inclined to agree with what you say above, and one shouldn't have to go contacting support all that frequently. Hopefully someone may 'chime-in' with another idea.

Oh, nothing was wrong with WSA, I contacted with support because I have lots and lots of unknown files in my computer. They were unknown for every single antivirus I have installed previously too, not only Webroot, lol.

I have 2 PC:s with the same problem.
3 files (pdf.dll, libpeerconnection.dll and ffmepegsumo.dll, all chrome related) are for the second time now under deny in Identity Protection.
I did run the wsalogs.exe tool and sent it to support, last time (1 week ago) they could not reproduce the issue.
I hope for better luck this time as this make the whole computer very unstable.
There are no unknowns running in the system.
    Anyone else seeing this?

    UPDATE!
    From WSA support:

"The issue you are reporting is one we are aware of and we are working to resolve it as quickly as possible."

    Hello all :)
After reading the above posts, i allowed the 3 DLLs that prevent Chrome to work properly after the recent update of this browser... Now everything seems to run better. But i noticed in Identity Shield that WSA monitored many things concerning Opera or Chrome, even in some TEMP folders.. I already deleted some previous version of Opera (19.XX)... but why the "Launcher" (snap picture 2 below) for example is monitored? So many applications are monitored that i assume some entries are useless?
    Thanks for your help.
    Cheers,
    Herve

PS: Sorry! i recently changed WSA(latest) from English to French when switching to Windows 7 64bits..

The file name changes are normal - WSA uses the last filename seen associated with a certain hash, which means it could be in a temporary location.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Looking at the above screen shot, it seems you have the same problem I had. Chrome is installed in appdata instead of program files. Uninstalling and reinstalling in program files fixed the problem for me.

Thank you very much GPM and Dermot7! So kind of you.
I reinstalled Chrome according to the instructions of the sites whose links you, Dermot, friendly provided to me.
But now... must i refresh (delete obsolete entries) WSA Identity Shield or reinstall WSA-C again.
    Sorry for bothering you again.
    Cheers,
    Herve

    Bon Soir Herve! :thumb:
If Chrome is now ok following reinstall, and showing as "protected" in Protected Applications, you're getting lock on tray icon etc. then I would leave as it is for the time being.
But if you need to ask anything, don't hesitate, it's no bother at all! :)

    Au Revoir,

    Hello Herve,

Delete the entries and then use the add button and go C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe and click on the chrome.exe and it will add to the list and make sure it's under protect! I would remove all from your list and sdo the same for Opera just leave the Internet Explorer as is!

    Cheers,

    Daniel ;)

    Nice and clean!

    Hi all :)

I'm feeling embarrassed... 2 elegant posts for my "tiny" problem. WOW!
Many thanks to both of you!
@Dermot7: Bonsoir Dermot;) Indeed, now Chrome is still shown as "protected" after the path change. My respect and my esteem to you who, as a true British gentleman, is always ready to give a helping hand, even to a French primitive boy like me:D I wish you une excellente soirée et merci encore!

@Daniel, mon ami et mon gourou (guru): I did what you so clearly recommended me to... and now identity shield is INDEED nicer and cleaner! BTW, thank you for taking time to attach a snapshot to your post. Avec toute mon amitié :
