Koobface now no internet

I just cleaned Koobface and a rootkit called Gen-Odom off a friends system. He is running Vista HP. Now when I access the internet I get Identifying...Local Access only. The only way to get on now is manually enter the ip and gateway numbers in the ipv4 properties. When I boor from Dr. Web live cd it will also allow internet access. Really need help with this.

 

Open up internet options - Connections tab- Lan settings and make sure "Use a proxy server..." is unticked.

Have you checked the Hosts file?

 

Yes ... deleted and rebuilt. I'm in the process of reinstalling vista hp right now. I have a bad case of googleitis.
