Unless I'm mistaken in the purpose of the feature it wouldn't see eicar.com as an attack site?

    Can search bar be removed?
I mean the little bar next to address bar.

Go to Customize and drag it out of there. I don't like it either.

At least Mozilla released this on the day they said they would with the release notes included.

Quite a few Telemetry/Experiments/Health Report "enhancements" in the the complete list of changes. One of note would be:

Store and submit a persistent health report identifier
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=968419

Which revolves around a unique client ID:
Seems there is already interest in using a non-random, device-derived client ID.

On a related note, Mozilla is proposing to revise their "Privacy Principles":

    https://groups.google.com/forum/?_e...g2xxrs#!topic/mozilla.dev.privacy/tX9Zyg2xxrs

My "favorites" would be the elimination of "Collect and retain the least amount of user information necessary" and "Do not disclose personal user experience without the user's consent". Found some other comments at http://itsecurity.co.uk/2014/07/mozilla-proposes-changes-privacy-principles/

Mine didn't direct me to DoNotTrackMe after upgrading. That's probably because I already have Ghostery installed.

Typical "less choice, more surveillance" attitude that seems to plague a lot of software today...

siljaline, one doesn't have to be a developer to understand, as previously Posted, that the above Unresolved item will continue to be displayed in the Release Notes for each browser version, until such time that Mozilla rewrites the Seer.

If someone has seen a "Firefox is already running" warning prompt, while using FF 31, kindly reply to this thread with your issue.

None to report other than some users with incompatible add-ons who have not been able to define which is causing the Browser to quit without announcing.

My instincts told me to stay away from DoNotTrackMe for some reason... and now my logical has confirmed what my gut felt. Yet more things I see in this release that I don't like... Firefox is getting less & less privacy friendly with each passing version these days.

    I'm happy with v27.0.1

I wasn't offered anything or had any link open up after updating to version 31 in W7. I don't have anything like Ghostery.
