Defrag question

    I just bought recently Diskeeper 2008 and every time I try and do a manual defrag, it takes forever to get anywhere. For instance, It ran for 6 days straight and was only at 84%. It didn't finish because I stopped it. And I have trialed a few other programs and it still won't defrag my computer. What the heck is going on?

    Windows Vista Home Premium 32
    100 gigs used on a 500 gig HD.

    BTW, I have contacted Diskeeper support and they haven't helped me at all.

    Hezakiah,

    Have you tried starting your computer in the safe mode and then running O&O?

    This may help eliminate conflicts between your security software and O&O.

    No Ron, haven't tried that. I'll give it a go today (Sunday). I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

    Have you checked your disk for errors ?
