Finally, it is possible to prevent writing to the clipboard.:)
    Default (I don't like it):

    To change the behavior:

    Manage the newly modified setting:

Writing to the clipboard on the two test pages is prevented.

    P.S.

A new flag is also available:

BTW, I don't know what the hell happened, because I never update Edge, but all of a sudden it's showing me some news website upon startup out of the blue? I did manage to change this but it still shows me a wallpaper with a ''search the web'' bar and some type of speed dials. How to disable this stuff and make Edge open up a blank page on startup? I just knew Edge is spyware. :gack:

    Hello and good evening.
I have literally just returned to the windows operating system and using windows 10.
Im using edge as my browser and runs superbly and i use the new tab page as my startup and homepage but i have an annoying issue with the cookie banner at the bottom.Any idea how i can stop this banner coming up everytime.?

I have ublock origin and cookie autodelete installed also.
    thanks.

FYI, after this update on W7, Edge now displays the following when Help > About is selected:
To get future Microsoft Edge updates, you'll need Windows 10 or later. This computer is using Windows 7. Learn more The same with Win8.

You can get rid of the warning with the registry rule that

    @mrpink

    put in for Chrome.
The path in Edge is identical.
(Obviously instead of Google = Microsoft and instead of Chrome = Edge)

My advice is to switch to Firefox ESR.
    ;)
