Using latest official release since a couple of days ago. Previously using Sophos Premium, but had to uninstall it after it started to devour HTML files I'd saved a long time ago in my archive of online banking transactions. Didn't even sent them to quarantine, just falsely identified them as malware and deleted them, no recovery possible.

    So now back with HMP.alert...

On an important, regular, MS Teams call earlier today which involved the laptop monitor and external monitor simultaneously on, the TP e15 fan went berserk and HMP.alert crashed. It took out a number of other apps too. Never happened before, very stable setup, so I assume it was HMP.alert.

I've just noticed someone else teporting a Zoom call issue. But my MS Teams kept working, although struggling, and the HMP.alert systray icon disappeared as did others.

    version 3.8.19 build 923

MS Teams does not appear to be in the list of protected applications.
Any suggestions most welcome, thank you.

It's blocking the application from creating a startup entry in the Run key.
Normally the admin should be able to allow the alert based on either the thumb or the data based thumb.
(But I'm hardly using Central so don't know from the top of my head where to find that) this page seems to have the instructions.

I have to say this is a very confusing overview of HMPA's free and paid features. :p

But I think I have figured it out, the colors aren't of importance. I see that CryptoGuard used to be a free feature back in 2014? But I think it's still the same but the ''Credential Theft'' module isn't being mentioned on this chart.

Thanks for confirming, Rasheed. Maybe someone at .Alert can clarify what's currently free vs. paid. o_O That chart is like 7 years old.

Yes a new chart on the HMPA website would be helpful. And it should be as simple as possible, so without mentioning in what version certain features were added. It should be strictly about the current version.

I haven't seen any updates to the 3.8.19 build 923 in 3 months. Is
    Hitmanpro.alert still being actively developed?

Thanks for getting back to me. Sophos Support looked at it, we whitelisted it based on thumbprint.

From the looks of it I'd say the same, but I'll have to double check to be sure.

Yes confirmed, that list is correct except for the fact that network lockdown no longer exists.

Just a reminder that the license expiration email still seems based on purchase date instead of activation date, so I got again an email that my license expired while I still got a few weeks left.
