Let me see if i understand correctly. My ISP is suddenlink that IP address is whats invisible, while other sites just see expressVPN IP address. Isn't that just trading IP addresses? If I DL something it goes to ExpressVPN, then passed to suddenlinks address, then to me? When they talk about unblocking Nexflix, does that mean, if I have less than 'unlimited' dl from suddenlink, by using expressVPN i don't exceed dl limits? I have a NetFlix user/pass, If I wanted to watch Canadian content of NetFlix, do I need to change, the expressvpn's server location (currently Dallas) to a Canadian? Okay! I tried, switched my VPN to Toronto, then searched for Netflix.ca. I was still at US Netflix. I'll try deleting cookies. Used chrome deleted cookies, cache, brows history, switched to VPN to Toronto, I arrived at Netflix Canada, upon entering, my username/pass I'm back in US

Ain't that something, never would have thought switched to Toronto vpn server, the went to netflix.com/ca > signed in & the url said netflix.com. Jack & Jill is an exclusive show on Canada netflix. I found it on epressvpn server connected to Toronto, next switched vpn server back to Dallas Tx, log into netflix search for Jack & Jill, it does not appear. with that /ca missing after sign in I was sure I was back on US netflix. Go figure
Well, I've been using Surfshark for 5 days now, so far so good. Only two Captchas, and one web site blocked in that time, and that's with their AV/Ad blocker on. Speed makes surfing the net pleasant compared to PIA. Even using the Moscow server doesn't slow things down as bad as I expected, ~ Off Topic Remarks Removed ~.
I'm trying to find a new service that is specifically steaming-friendly, so that I can access Hulu, Netflix, Prime video, Disney+, etc, while still behind a secure vpn. I am aware of ExpressVPN and NordVPN being streaming-friendly. One service that I have never heard of before, Surfshark, seems to be very good. After trialing it, and researching it, these are the good things I can say about it: it does work perfectly fine on Hulu, Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+ it has very good speeds, (the connected server is close-ish to my physical location, as you can see from this test. it does support the new wireguard protocol (not on linux) it does have a "killswitch" (it doesn't actually kill user-set processes, but prevents network connections) (As I understand it, not available on mac) it does allow multi-hop connections it does have a zero-logging policy (see here). it's jurisdiction is in the British Virgin Islands (away from the "eyes") it uses RAM servers, meaning that nothing is stored on disks The CEO was a founding member the EFF it's $60 for 2 years! Does anyone have experience with Surfshark?

I have enabled the WebRTC leaks protection in uBlock Origin on Chrome, Edge Chromium, and Firefox. https://browserleaks.com/ shows WebRTC leaks (my real IP). I have disabled the "Broadcast IP..........." option in Vivaldi settings. No uBlock Origin on Vivaldi. https://browserleaks.com/ shows no WebRTC leaks. It seems the WebRTC leaks protection in uBlock Origin is not working. Anyone using a VPN that doesn't protect against WebRTC leaks? Can you please check the WebRTC leaks protection in uBlock Origin with your VPN? what is the result of the webrtc test? https://browserleaks.com/webrtc edit: ublock is cloacking your "local" IP (LAN), not your public IP (provider), that feature is working. to cloak your public ip you need an extension or a valuable VPN provider, https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn-privacy/stop-webrtc-leaks/ webrtc extensions - "WebRTC Control" working in chromium, but not firefox. - "WebRTC Leak Prevent" working in chromium (firefox not tested) but need setup -> "disable..." - "WebRTC Leak Shield" working in chromium+firefox, "disabled" by default. using an extension means that you cannot use webrtc, you need an extension with whitelisting.
@Brummelchen, Thank you for the info. I'm using the AdGuard extension as its "Block WebRTC" protects Local and Public IP addresses.
