If you don't connect to the internet during the setup you won't be forced to use a Microsoft Account. I always install the latest (1909) without a Microsoft Account

 

Are you absolutely shure?!

I tried yesterday and the install rutin was different then 6 months ago, there where no option to go further from the account creation except accepting to create a Ms account. No possibility to create local during install.

 

100% I format laptops every day man. You clicked limited setup on the bottom left and you're good to go.

Thanks for this, just a note, ad blocker must be disabled on the Microsoft page otherwise the download will not work

 

Can't install this as an update. It says it needs to restart and never does. Another gem from Microsoft.
