Test of Endpoint Security Cloud Plus here: https://checklab.pl/en/recent-results . Given that this version has all the "bells and whistles" the free version doesn't have and Avast Free outperformed it, well ..................

Based on that chart it looks like the only actual fail is Avira, as Level 1, 2, and 3 all actually stopped a virus before damage was done.

Correct. Highest overall score is achieved by those with highest Level 1; i.e. browser blocking, score assuming no missed detection's.

What the heck is Comodo One?

Anyway, I am liking this Cloud AV so far. Would like to see more tests in terms of protection, but I will probably keep this one for a while.

Definitions for Kaspersky Free started working again after I rebooted.

I guess I'll stick with KSF for now since SCF requires registering for a Kaspersky account.

I couldn't exclude a website from being scanned by KFA, which is why I switched to KSCF.

I've run Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool in past and never had a problem with Macrium creating system image.

Thanks Minimalist, but if you check my link you'll see I'm not alone.

I had that problem. Something was breaking the Volume Shadow Copy Service. It would break system restore and backup software. I had more problems with Acronis than Macrium but it was a major problem either way. Unfortunately I can't tell you if it was fixed or not. Yet. I guess I'll be finding out soon.

Just a reminder - if you use KVRT you have to reboot your system after scan to remove driver it is using during the scan. Maybe there lies a problem.

EDIT: here is a link to "known issues" article: https://support.kaspersky.com/8538

A restart didn't help on my end.

    Thanks @Krusty
I was thinking about trialing KSC.
I've just deleted KSC installer and KVRT.

:thumb: I Made a backup with MR that I can restore if I decide not to keep KSCF, but so far it appears to be running fine and does seem pretty light. You will need a My Kaspersky account to activate the program though.

I am finding this program is really bad with the false positives. VPNs, torrent programs, etc...

Strange, I never had a problem with false positive while using Kaspersky.

Just for curiosity sake, could you post the log with the false positives?

I wonder if it is because I turned off "perform recommended actions automatically" under Interactive protection. But I get a prompt every time I use one of my two VPN programs, and utorrent.

I just don't want it blocking, deleting things without prompting me.

Kaspersky removal tool can break system restore. I have experience that. Guess it's also affecting Macrium.

I did this to fix the issue.

One needs to verify is this must be run in Win Safe mode. Not uncommon for AV dedicated uninstallers needing to run in safe mode.

Likewise System Restore should be done in Safe mode or preferably, from Win 10 Recovery Environment.

KSCF updated to "E" patch, now no shortcuts appear on my desktop and Firefox will not open, although Task Manager shows it is running.

It was fun for a day but I'm done with Kaspersky.
