Can you, please, describe how you determined that Outpost conflicted.
I use Outpost firewall Pro 9.3 on Windows7 Pro 64. I haven't installed OSA suspecting potential issues. Just wonder if some exceptions might have eliminated your problems.

With great sadness I found that removing Outpost (by running clean.exe in Safe Mode) eliminated the 'hanging' problem. I subsequently installed Outpost again but only for 30 minutes. The 'hanging' behaviour returned immediately. I disabled Outpost's features such as anti-leak but to no avail. I can quote no evidence other than the circumstancial evidence of the effects of removal and reinstatement. At this time, OSArmor is much more valuable than Outpost which I had previously used since Outpost 2. The choice was Outpost XOR OSArmor but not both. OSArmor won.

By the way, the hanging effect is that the system becomes unresponsive. I have sometimes noticed a few seconds when the onset of the hanging is indicated by a rapidly slowing system response which very quickly deteriorates to complete paralysis. OSArmor displayed no response such as the exclusion dialog box.

I still happily use Outpost Firewall Pro 9.3 (set to maximum protection) on Windows XP along with OSArmor 1.4.3 (also Avast Free 10.4.2233, MBAE 1.12.1.109 and Comodo Memory 'Firewall'(?) 2.0.4.20). The ensemble behaves immaculately. It's a pity that WehnTrust ASLR is so buggy as to be unusable.

Does anyone know if this protects the beta version of Edge, based on Chromium?

Hi, Windows 10 October updates make OSArmor protection inactive again.

In that case isn't OSArmor dead in the water, for Windows 10 at least? I assume that Windows 7 is still protected and that Windows XP will certainly be protected.

I wonder if Windows 10 UAC and improper process privilege elevations are still covered by OSArmor. I like those features. No matter how secure Windows 10 is, Devil's Advocate software like OSArmor and MBAE are no less valuable. No matter how much Windows 10 is improved, if these products are neutered by 'improvements', Windows 10 is rendered less secure.

I hope that chipo is incorrect. I was not aware that previous Windows 10 updates had already hobbled OSArmor.

It seems that Win10 patches have a history of adversely affecting the compatibility of some security apps -- a happenstance that works to Windows Defender's progress toward exclusivity, I suppose.

Yes, OSArmor protection is inactive in my laptop after this month upgrades.

I have executed DNSjumper (not signed) from Desktop and OSArmor didn't blocked it. See the images. I have run other unsigned programs with same result. I have reinstalled OSArmor again, therefore statistiscs are 0.

Not working correctly for me either.

I hope you all report it to NVT.

This software was free and gratis. It was good while it lasted. I guess that it is still good running under Windows 7.

`I'm on 1909, it seems to be working but of course you can't tell if it's working in all contexts. I just tried it with another unsigned installer--Universal USB Installer and it worked there. Exclusions have been hit or miss. I guess one can turn to SysHardener for an alternative? Though I like this way better.

OSArmor 1.4.3 is working with Windows 7. I have just had to negotiate an exclusion.

I just set OSA to block Edge, then tried opening Edge. Edge was blocked by OSA. Not a thorough test but it shows OSA is at least partially working here.

I don't think it's abandonware. Andreas seems to develop these free utilities OSA, ERP, and many others, between paying contracts.

It seems to be quite a mission to keep up with Win 10 changes, but yes, he has done so before.

Yep, and this is exactly the reason why I wouldn't mind paying for OSA, hoping that this would ensure further development of this excellent piece of software.

Then maybe he should say so instead of vanishing for 6 months.

Yes, I would also pay for this software, to keep it updated at all times.

I wonder why the developer hasn't stopped by like he used to?

    @chipo @loungehake @pb1 @jimb949 @Beyonder

I always follow this thread (without logging in) so in case of problems I can check them.

We tested OSArmor 1.4.3 on Windows 10 Pro 1909 (64-bit) OS Build 18363.418 and it works fine:

    Test_Custom_Rule_With_CmdLine.png
    Test_Protect_Driver.png

Can you test OSA with default settings and describe how to reproduce the issue?

If other users are using/testing Windows 10 1909 builds, can you confirm if OSA works fine in your case too?

PS: We're still busy with a few projects, but will release a new OSA version asap (already mostly done).

Add me to the list of those who would gladly pay for OSA.

As I said in my previous post, after the october windows 10 updates, OSArmor protection doesn't work well. I have to say that I had trouble updating my system, because it was rebooting and rebooting, again and again. So, I had to install Windows 10 again. After that, my system was correctly updated, but OSArmor didn't work it was supposed to do.

As novirusthanks suggested, I restored OSArmor to the default settings but two that are shown in the image, in order to run an unsigned program from temp folder. OSArmor doesn't block it.
