What is your security setup these days?

Would it be a pity if it was abandoned ... Sandboxie has been, and is, quite unique, so I wish it could get the necessary attention.
And as you say re business model, it's essentially a consumer product, so probably ultimately not worth it, or low priority for Sophos.

Had a license for ReHIPS which is :thumb: but requires some 'investment', both effort and $. May look at it again in future ... trying to simplify life at the moment.

A very nice blanket generalization unsupported by facts. Maybe you're a secret MT member? ;)

Okay, what was said about sandboxies demise that was factual

I was not suggesting you moved off topic. This topic is pretty all-encompassing anyway!

It has been discussed a few times on the Sandboxie thread with Bo's evaluation here.
I don't see anything in the MT thread to contradict his view.

I have lifetime licenses, but generally only use it on demand.

I replaced Windows 7 with Windows 8.1 and mostly keep my setup the same. My real-time protection (in order of importance):

Backup: external HDD, Macrium Reflect 7.2.4325
    Updates: Windows Update, SUMo 5.9.4.424
    Practice safe computing 1.0.0. BETA
    Antimalvare: Kaspersky Internet Security 20.0.14.1085(b)
    AdBlocker: uBlock Origin 1.20.2

It looks like I will stick with this setup for some time.

Practice safe computing 1.0.0. BETA :D

Pretty minimalist! :thumb: But on W10. Never really tried Kaspersky, using EAM. (Testing HmP.A on another instance).

On another W10 v1903 clean install planning same as above, but with just Andy Ful's Hard Configurator (or maybe even just ConfigureDefender) - or NVT OsArmor. To keep it lean and simple.

A few changes. Moved to Kaspersky Free as I have a much beefier laptop now (Alienware 17 R5). Switched from Cloudflare to Google for DNS lookups as they support eDNS0. Lastly, have gone back to uBlock Origin. Whilst AdGuard is much improved in version 3, I still find myself preferring uBO with its granular settings.

@Page42 I have to revise my earlier suggestion about Decentraleyes with Privacy Possum and µBO. I've tested just the latter two, using µBO in medium mode, and I decided to ditch Decentraleyes. In my setup, these two accomplish the function of DCeyes. If you use µBO in default then DCeyes makes sense. Your choice. :thumb:

Nice setup wat. You using Chromium-based Edge? Thats finished? I thought they were still working on that.

    My setup:

Windows Defender + UAC + Windows SmartScreen + Windows Firewall (WFC)
    Malwarebytes + ExpressVPN
    Chrome w/ extensions

    Thanks 1chaotic!

yes, the new Edge is still a work in progress but it's functioning well for me. I sometimes use the latest Beta of Chrome as well.

Yep that’s what I thought. I was just reading about edge a few weeks ago. I will take a look at it eventually to see if I like it.

It's better than Chrome even at this point in development. My main browser now. :thumb:
