Sophos Home Premium will not be free. Due to the improvements already made, and future features, there is a cost involved. And the revenue made from Sophos Home Premium directly funds future research, support, features, engineering, etc. for future Sophos Home versions.

That said, Sophos Home Standard is still FREE! And we're still making improvements to that as well. You will see better scanning and malware removal coming to the free version soon. And we're not removing features or making it less effective to upsale to Premium. In fact, it will be better than it currently is.

Free version stays! And it will be getting improvements as well, specifically faster scanning and better malware removal. We will not be diminishing any firepower in free Sophos Home.

Invincea Tech is not in the current version. But who knows what the future holds.

I'm not sure on all the specific reasons why there isn't participation from Sophos in AV Comparatives at this time, but one of the reasons given is the focus AV Comparatives puts on consumer products and Sophos is almost entirely B2B products. So it doesn't make as much sense to participate, except when it comes to Sophos Home.

Do you have a feature comparison between the FREE and Premium version?

By the way, cruelsister has just released a video on her youtube channel

Just found that. By the way its cruelsister1 as I had to look around a bit to find it. Seemed ok on ransomware but not good with the worm test.

I would prefer only one entry in add /remove programs rather than the current 5.
Less processes running in the background would be good also.

Awesome thanks. I installed it over the weekend but it slowed down my system way to much. Are you guys working to improve this?

Definitely! Feel free to PM me with your system specs and I can help start a conversation with our engineers.

Around 10 days of using Sophos Home Beta and it's working very good. I like the encryption of keystrokes in browsers. Just a few times I ended with random characters instead of what I intended to type :p
I have also noticed that -sometimes- when I try to switch between apps (ALT + TAB), the app I select doesn't open and I need to mouse-click on the app to activate it.

Out of curiousity, did it slow your system down?

I also wonder why it takes so darn long to install?

Yes, it's a very long install. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now too, and I really like it. It uses about the same memory that Bitdefender did, which is 231mb on my machine. No big deal, I have 12gb on both desktop and laptop. It's pretty much install and forget about it! I looked through all of the settings, which you change online through the website, and left everything as is.

Not really. I just notice that sometimes it takes some time to start protecting the browser and in the meantime the keyboard either doesn't work or random characters are displayed instead of the words I'm typing (this due to encryption process is starting yet).

I don't remember having to wait a lot for Sophos to install. Just the first scan took like an hour or so.

ONE QUESTION GUYS: Can Sophos Home (wwhhc ono has Hitman Pro) and Zemana Antimalware can live together with no problems? or some incompatibilites could happen?

Another user made us aware of this as well. I alerted the engineers and they're working on a fix.

Sophos Home Premium (the one with the HitmanPro tech) will install alongside another AV. However, after install we recommend (with a message in the local and cloud UI) that the user uninstalls the other AV as there are often incompatibilities.

Thank you for your replies Alex!

Hey I didn't notice that the little problem of having random characters instead of the word I intend to type was present in the question I made:

"ONE QUESTION GUYS: Can Sophos Home (wwhhc ono has Hitman Pro)..."

Yes Alex, you correctly understood that I wanted to type something like "the one that has Hitman Pro" or "which has Hitman Pro".
I don't consider it a big issue but maybe I'll have to do a check of what I'm typing. Anyway, I'm sure the engineers can improve this.
    Thank you again!
