    I've been using 360 Essentials on Win 7 x64 for 10 days now...It threw up several false positives during the first few days I think it was the cloud that detected them, however unlike so many of the mainstream AV's it was very easy to whitelist them...I may stick with this.

    Sometimes the so called false positives is because of a component in 360 not working as should (whitelistening component) crashes and do not send the data.
    Can you check update logs to see if the component is working?

    Not to hijack the thread but my Whitelist auto update always fails. How is this corrected, doing a reinstall? Everything 360 is allowed in the firewall.

    Try re-installing said program to see if it correct the issue at hand. I really don't no how this went unnoticed for so long when most clients machines has whitelist auto update failing on most of the machines that has on 360 Total Security, which in turn causes 360 to flag good stuff as bad.

    Does the chrome extension really need TS to be installed to be of any use? The Avast and Bitdefender extensions don't.

    I have a shortcut in my QuickLaunch bar that invokes a compiled Autohotkey script that, among other thing, runs a program using the RUN command.

    Sometimes there is a long (over 15 second) delay before the RUN command is executed. If I put a display statement before the RUN, it appears instantly, and then there is the delay before the output of the executed program appears.

    The delay occurs regardless of which program is invoked by the RUN command.

    If the script is invoked directly, or via any other (i.e. non-QL) shortcut, there is no delay.

    If I disable my antivirus (360 Total Security) there is no delay. I've tried including all relevant components (my script, Autohotkey) in the AVs Trusted list, but to no avail. I am not seeing anything in the AV logs that references anything relevant.

    After the script is invoked several times, the delay may suddenly disappear, and then reappear at some later time. After coming out of Standby, the delay may or may not be there.

    Other shortcuts in my QL (one for Windows Explorer, for example) also exhibit some delay, but not long enough to be really annoying. All shortcuts either show or do not show the delay at the same time. That is, if there is a delay for one shortcut, it is there for all.

    I never had this problem with Comodo. The problem is definitely 360 TS, but how do I fix this?

    I have the latest version on two computers and have not had an ad yet. If Qihoo keeps the ads to the UI with no pop ups I can deal with that.
