Yes, posted there too. It is simply to remove the dongle - then it boots. I haven't found a solution. Hoping a cumulative update will fix it again.
I don't have the HMPA on that machine. So I think that is probably a W10 / driver related issue.
Not sure about your 'keyboard' issue.

Windows 7 SP1 running HMPA 3.5.3 build 562 (released) along with MBAE/MBAR. Changed drive letter associated with DVD optical drive (D to R). Safe removal of SanDisk Cruzer USB flash drive 8GB (F) triggered BSOD (hmpalert.sys).

Some members reported it too (BSOD after removal of an USB drive).
Maybe it helps to upgrade to the Build 565 (beta):

No problems with the 565 beta. Using it on many computers now.

Yes, when I restart the pc is when it happens:mad:, if I unplug the dongle and let windows boot completely up and then plug it in, the mouse will work (no HMPA doing it this way), but if its plugged in when the computer is booting up, it will hang on the spinning circle until I unplug and plug it back in and then I get the HMPA "New Keyboard Detected" (even though its a mouse only;)) and then the mouse will not work until I restart the system again without the dongle plugged in. Also I cannot shut down the system inside windows 10 either by going to Start -> Shutdown, it says shutting down and then the monitor goes to sleep, and the computer will reboot back into Windows without turning off after about 2-3 minutes or so. But if you physically press (not hold down) the power button on the tower it will shut down and turn off. :thumbd:

Yea, hope they fix it soon! Didn't have this problem until the last update about a week ago.

Have you asked for a solution on The MCSFT Community Support Forum? You might get lucky and get one.

Done that. Checked several times for updates, and it says none available. So I guess I'm caught up for now.;)

I'll try that this evening. Thanks!:thumb:

Flyout working great here on Chrome Version 54.0.2840.59 m (64-bit)

EDIT: Sorry @test your right, Flyout is NOT WORKING on Chrome Version 54.0.2840.59 m (64-bit) HMPA 3.5.4 B565

Try updating HMPA to 565, and see if that fixes the problem. :thumb:

As for the Bitdefender compatibility issue; when the Bitdefender threat control is on - some programs (such as Boxcryptor classic and Gsyncit) cannot not expose their GUI (although the process does run) and their tray icon does not appear.

I have ran into the BSOD issue on both my laptop & desktop after a removal of a USB flash drive. Upgrading to the Build 565 beta seems to have alleviated the issue. Both my desktop & laptop are running Windows 10 Pro, so I think that is an issue with HMPA + Windows 10.

Erik, if you would like a copy of my mini-dump logs I would be happy to provide them.

@Bowhunter26 FWIW on my primary laptop with HMP.A 565 I am using a Bluetooth mouse but was having problems with it, so put my Logitech wireless USB mouse dongle into this machine and HMPA also issued the 'New Keyboard Detected' warning. I 'allowed' it , and the mouse worked. Bad USB is enabled. So as posted elsewhere, I think the dongle is also creating a keyboard registry key?

I did not try restarting my primary laptop with the dongle inserted to see if it prevented booting up. As I have already posted, I do have that problem on my secondary laptop, which does not have HMPA.

The Logitech dongle would probably be a unifying receiver which can also be used for a keyboard.

    I think that too.
I'm not sure if the beta can fix it on Windows 7 too, but we'll know it after @Lonesome Bob (#11860) reports back.

More issues with gaming software. Uplay wont start unless HitmanPro.Alert service is not stopped. Adding Uplay as an exclusion is not solving the problem at all. Can you please check what might cause this?

This is just an inquiry about when the next stable release is due that perhaps Erik or Mark could answer.

I have been using and Beta testing HMP.A for a few months now and have been very pleased with it. I would like to recommend to a couple of friends but know that they would not use the Beta versions and it would be nice to introduce them to a stable release that incorporates the recent improvements. I believe that the current 31 stable version was released in July so maybe one is due.

Yes-Several posters on The Logitech Support Forum are reporting the same issue. IIRC they are all using the Unifying USB dongle.

No solutions yet. Logitech Support ain't the greatest.

I would have thought heaps of peeps use the unifying dongle, and that booting issues would have been resolved sooner, either by Logitech or MS.
For me this is not really an HMP.A issue, as the 'new keyboard detected' is understandable, given that it is a 'unifying receiver'.
