Thank you ichito for your help. It's really bummer not to be able to run SD from command line. It's a very helpfull feature to be honest. Thank you again for your help!

Hi Patrick, The argument used to sign the setup package is changed because an error message is shown when the old setup. exe is downloaded by Internet Explorer or Edge. Thanks.
    Best regards, Tony

ReHIPS and Shadow Defender now compatible.

    Good news!

After mailing Tony from Shadow Defender and pointed him to the HWiD issue he finally managed to solve it with a new version. At least on my machine (Win8.1 x64) testing for 35 min.

Here's the new version if you want to test:

I guess it's pretty legit, since the download comes directly from shadowdefender.com and it is pre-registered...
That's why it can not be an "official" release, since they are trials.. :p

Hi guys, has there ever been reports of any kind of corruption in windows due to using SD? I am trying to rule out SD, cause I just noticed my shutdown menu is blank on a win 7 pro x86 machine that uses SD 24/7.

    Earth .... occasionally
I picked up the giveaway earlier and got v1.4.0.620

Came up clean at VT and also with an on-demand scan , and checksums were correct ,
so I'm a little curious about some of the doubts mentioned in this thread about trust in the download ?

I noted that the publisher was Yang Ting with a cert issued by Symantec.

Is that consistent with what other folk are seeing ?

Yes, There has been corruption in the past, I (and others) have posted on the forum about various things, like lost icons, lost configuration of user settings in kernel type apps, lost Windows settings etc.
It was never a thing that happened consistantly to everyone, so it is hard to pin down when it happens.

and of course you have to take into consideration conflict with new installed software as a possibility.

There have been various versions of Shadow Defender (for me) that have shown better or worse stability.

I am an xp sp3 user and I find that 1.4.0.519 is a good version (for me), where some later versions proved unstable in terms of the sorts of problems described above.

Despite these glitches that have appeared now and again, I love Shadow Defender and now spend my online life almost entirely in Shadow Mode :)

Very interesting. Where can I find 1.4.0.519?
Is there a place on sd's site where all older versions are available?
