Past 2-3 days this site has slowed down. Sometimes it's loading for a long time. It used to be the snappiest site ever seen. Is it me or some maintenance going on?
For me, the internet itself is slowing down. Pages seem to take forever to load and I have 50mb internet.
Slow some pages at my end: Mexico. Ed.~ Google engine was slow as molasses like a quite few other pages in my country. Now the Internet is back to normal at my end.
It might be regional as I'm having no such issues. It appears to be as fast as usual. BTW--I am in the US.
Periodically the last few days I've been getting the same thing for this forum, slow loading. In the US with internet speed 85mb.
Good Afternoon! To reference an old Who song....I Can Surf For Miles...everything A-Ok! Sincerely....Securon
Do a tracert from the command prompt to see where the hangup is. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/314868
Thank you Ron. I found the problem on my end, internet speed. When I checked the speed it was 2mb/2mb. Using Verizon FiOS and the speed I'm paying for is 75mb/75mb. (but I get 90/90 out of it). Called Verizon and they were having problems in my area the last few days. The problem is fixed now and my speed is 90/90 and working good, no slowdowns. Btw Verizon gave me a $25.00 credit to my account.
Ronjor, it really is happening, and often, and varies, since I made this thread. This morning I could not get in at all. At 2:44 got in sloowly and everything was slow with pieces loading slowly and the site tab circling. An hour later I could not get in again, not even a trace of Wilders on the SeaMonkey screen. Right now I got in fast. Hops 4 and 5 seem to always refuse tracert, so that's a constant. The telia and digitalocean values vary all over the place. And none of this seems related to anything EDIT: after posting this, I wanted to read another thread in the Recent list. For 4 minutes it was Loading. I finally gave up and got out. Got back in, still could not get to read. Now I'm in and it came up quickly and login was quick.
