I have no problems with the product, runs light and quiet the only issue is, if you were planning to buy a license, don't. They have no customer service. literally...0

the company seems to be dead or maybe going bankrupt....

1- Two Support tickets raised more than 72 hours ago and no reply:

    http://community.f-secure.com/t5/Security/Does-F-Secure-have-ANY-customer/td-p/64149

2- They don't reply on their Twitter account

3- Forum is dead there's only 1 guy replying there every once in a blue moon if ever

4- Live Chat is dead, you would sit there waiting for an agent to join for ages....

be ware people, F-Secure is DEAD! at least from what this looks like....

This theme seems to repeat itself every few days. I could have told you F-Secure has literally no support anymore.

Just stick with Norton 2015 man.. Great support, great product.

Sigh....... I wish they could fix that double icon issue bro.....

I mean I have no issues with the AV itself.....just ticks me off that I paid an arm and a leg for a product with 0 support

Just make sure to look down a ten year license with your next choice.

    Hahahaha!!!
    I don't believe it.....
If it runs great, why do you need customer service?
Of course it's not dead, it's just that some companies care more and some less for forum communication.

Good Afternoon! Unfortunate about F-Secure...in today's economic climate...especially in the Euro Zone...having a Customer Support Team usually composes of who ever is available at the time. That's why I stick with European Firms that have a North American Affiliate Office. For example...Eset...Avira...G-Data...Trend Micro...and possibly others. When a problem occurs you need Prompt Support...otherwise the products purchase is in hindsight a dubious purchase...and certainly not worth the anguish to one's psyche! Sincerely...Securon

yeah true, since they have no support, there is no point even emailing them for a refund. The AV itself is good and light, so ill keep it but just wanted to warn all to stay away from F-Secure just like Panda, you buy the AV and you're on your own.....

Hopefully within the next year or two the guys at ESET will do something to make it lighter so I can reuse it again as it has become what McAfee was in the past, the heaviest AV out there, their HTTP protection slows down surfing and downloading of torrents. Copying files from my D: partition to my external backup USE 3.0 drive there is a 20MB/S performance penalty and I can feel my whole system as if I had downgraded it..

Hope F Secure works out...used it in the past and ran fine, usually tested out well. Re: ESET, I see occasional comments about being heavy but currently, it seems light. Have you run ESET Smart Security recently? I think Securon runs it from time to time....

oh ESS is a nightmare performance wise. I complained so much to ESET that they downgraded my license from ESS to NOD32 and gave me extra validity since NOD32 is cheaper in price. ESS's firewall is not good according to reviews I've read before unless you want to set it to interactive mode, but then if you do that, you'd have to allow/deny every connection to your computer which is a pain to do.

    Sorry, back on topic.....

since this seems like an AV that rarely any people here use because of its price, there's no way of getting to someone from F-Secure to see what's up with their customer service. It's like any AV I buy an issue would arise either with the product or its customer service! LOL

Anyone got a contact to someone from F-Secure's Management?

Just checked F-Secure's Twitter account and the last post they've had is since the 20th of November, looks like they don't work on weekends, so much for social media!

Agreed. A lot of folks don't work on the weekends. I don't so I don't fault anyone else for it either. Hit them up on Monday, I'm sure you'll get a response from someone.

I thinks it a wise move to pick an AV with a good support forum, two of the better ones I've encountered are the Avast and Emsisoft forums.

Let's not leave ESET in bad light here and continue the discussion it in the appropriate thread. The thing is in our forum https://forum.eset.com/topic/3579-stuttering-in-streaming-videos/?p=21083 you confirmed that the issue was solved for you and you haven't reported any further issues since. What's more, the issues mentioned also here at Wilders' don't seem to be caused by a bug in ESET products but it seems to be an issue with the operating system itself (probably with Windows Filtering Platform). We continue with the analysis but unfortunately haven't heard back from anyone with the issue if applying the setting we suggested made a difference or not.

Please continue with the discussion at https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/eset-internet-security-products.370203/ or better in our official forum https://forum.eset.com/topic/3579-stuttering-in-streaming-videos.

I think we shouldn't lift the ban until we've heard back from them.

F-Secure, Panda, ESET, Webroot, and Avira are all great products. You have done nothing but trash-talk these companies since you joined this forum less than two months ago. I have doubts that you will ever be satisfied. In my opinion, this type of posting has become quite boring, predictable, and borderline ridiculuous.

On the other hand, the finicky attitude of Mortal towards refunds, support, and forums feedback, has been very useful in determining which companies do care about their customers... It is entertaining, but I agree they are all great products even without a decent support.

Good point, also consider the 'vast majority' of customers never use support for these products, and if they do most questions are answered in the knowledge bases.
