Also important, includes the new launcher (O.E) for Avira free that gives you a popup once in a month.

I sent some malware to AVIRA and they responded in about 3 hours confirming infections. Thats impressive!

I wish they detect Conduit, Search Protect and simmilar PUA.

@ Avira team & Wilders users:

    1) The Avira "Download" page says:
if you start the download then you will find that actually it's another version (342), with another size = 161 MB

    2) The "Support - Latest News" page (which actually is a Changelog / Release Notes page) says:
Regarding the Changelog for v14.0.7.306 ((Update 7) which released 2 months ago: Oct 1, 2014
    Radio Silence.....
Regarding the Changelog for v14.0.7.342 ((Update 7.1) which released 2 days ago: Nov 4, 2014
    Radio Silence.....

And it's not happen only for the above versions, same story in the past, again and again.
So re the info & changelogs I have the right to say: "typically Avira style" :thumbd:

so decided to try the tablet version again. went to my avira logges in selected add device picked tablet. got the email, installed still the FREE version. so do PAID users not get the full version to use on their tablet / phone?? if so thats really ridiculous. tried with 2 different tablets same with both. i can see both in my avira and i know 100% i have enough devices to activate on them. about fed up i have spent so much time trying to get this to work i think ive installed / uninstalled avira at least 15+ times on the tablet trying everything i can think to try. nothing working to get pro version.

Totally disagree with Avira Launcher being of mandatory installation. It is a unneded additional process to load at startup, and a new resource hog.
Previously it was possible to uninstall OE after installed, keeping the antivirus, but seems that it is not possible anymore.
I guess that this functionality, should be implemented in Avira Free itself, as it was before with avnotify, but not as a new tool.

The version I tried a few days ago had the possibility to not install OE. After finishing the main install, you are presented with a window that says "Avira Update" that has a button "Accept and Update". Just close that window, answer "Yes" to the new "Cancel" prompt and you are all set.

That is true, the changelog was missing for the latest product updates. I informed the responsible team and both update changelogs will be available very soon!

Wow!!! so unprofessional! I would fire the lazy person copy/pasting and making Avira look so low class cannot even get a change log right! Maybe too busy spoiling Avira with the OE Launcher and Dropbox integration + Driver Updater ;)

Please take a closer look at that article. All 3 of the latest updates are referring to the same article, listing the changelogs for all 3 updates one after another.

It is complete in the german version and synchronized for the english version very soon.

    3 different links:
Changelog Avira Antivirus for Windows - Update 7.1
Changelog Avira Antivirus for Windows - Update 7
Changelog Avira Antivirus for Windows - Update 6

    with the same changelog.

    Let's clarify this.

    1. Go to http://www.avira.com/en/support-for-home-latest-news
    2. You see 3 entries for update 6, 7 and 7.1
    3. All 3 entries point to the same kb http://www.avira.com/de/support-for-home-knowledgebase-detail/kbid/1699 (German) or http://www.avira.com/en/support-for-home-knowledgebase-detail/kbid/1699 (English)
    4. Within this kb, all updates are included with the newest on the top. But currently, it is complete available in the German version and synchronized for the English version very soon

This means: 1 KB article includes the latest changelogs
This means: Update 7, 6 changelogs are within the English KB 1699 available
This means: Update 7.1, 7, 6 changelogs are within the German KB 1699 available
This means: Update 7.1, 7, 6 have different changelogs (not the same wording) within KB 1699
This means; Update 7.1 will be available in the English KB changelog 1699 very soon

    1. Go to http://www.avira.com/en/support-for-home-latest-news
Up to update 5, each entry mention one (1) specific clangelog ant point to that changelog.
From Update 6 and onwards 3 different entries for 3 different changelogs point to the same kb.
    This means: Bxxxxxx.......
    ------------
Up to this moment, is not synchronized yet.

Will it being deleted or no change?
but it was annoying and misrelated with avira
I just see some complain about this type of non-related advertisment with IPM

well it seems the android is not included unless you bought the newest version. so for those who have internet security version you dont get android pro and im not sure yet about the av premium i have asked and i await a response. but imo its a dumb decision to not include that with those products. a lic is a lic and whats the difference if i use 1 of my three for a laptop and the other 2 for android im still only using 3 lic's per my purchase. imo they should allow that.

Completely agree. Seems silly and petty.
