I think you're going to install Panda Antivirus Pro tomorrow. Think about it, the Panda bear is really cute. :thumb:

I really like Avira free, but cannot get over the nomenclature of "free" in the title. I tried Avira Pro, really liked it (used to use AntiVir years ago). I wish Pro was more affordable...because I would use the paid version of Avira in a heartbeat but I've got so many paid solutions already that I am not even using. I mainly use Webroot and BD, because I have gotten so many screaming good deals on them. Does Avira every offer anything like this? ie - 3 PC/1 Year for <$9.99?

Yeah Avira is the 2nd AV on my top list behind Kaspersky. Very competent and powerful against malware.

I like Kaspersky as well. My year expired, and I also had a few issues with it. Not as light as it is supposed to be also. Very light at first but gets heavier within a week, it's strange.

I used AntiVir free longer than anything else so I believe it's time I finally paid Avira some money (although I may not have bought my license from them)

It came again and again, not nice at all. It's really hard to find a free AV without nagging pop ups nowadays. :thumb:

How do you turn this off on AV Pro? I have not seen that option anywhere.

Right click on Avira umbrella in taskbar > from drop-down menu select "My communication settings" > log in to Avira "My Account" > select "Notification" option.

To bad we can't verify it then. The presumption is that the installed Avira version was very old. The IPM campaign "version 2012" shown in your screenshot was used only for the older Avira versions.

@anon: The forum threads you refer to are about a different IPM campaign to upgrade to our OE client.
