Is Keriver 1-Click okay with UEFI?

Keriver 1-Click hasn't been discussed for quite a while. When I last used it on my MBR rig it worked like a champ, but I never did install it on my newer UEFI PC. So if anyone knows whether or not it is UEFI-compatible please advise...

I would not bet on it. All Keriver products have not been updated since the end of 2012, and at that time UEFI was not too popular yet...

My concern exactly. Two years ago K1CR was quite popular, but it seems to have faded away.

Check-out this Wilders thread where posts by pandlouk, a knowledgeable 1CR user, seem to support manolito's view regarding your question. Imho you shouldn't trust an image-backup program that hasn't been updated for 2 1/2 years with UEFI/GPT drive partitions!

Thanks for that link and your opinion (which makes a lot of sense now that I think about it). I also use Drive Snapshot, so when I have more time on my hands I may just run a 1CR backup-restore test on my UEFI laptop (with a DS image as backup to the 1CR backup)!

Cruise, I don't get it - since you apparently own a copy of DS, a quality image-backup program (which is compatible with UEFI/GPT drives), why do you still want to use 1CR?

Well, I have always used both external and internal backup drives. With my old 'MBR laptop' I would use DS to make weekly backups to my external drive and use 1CR to make daily backups to my internal drive (which was almost like having a snapshot program). Since getting a newer 'UEFI laptop' and not being sure that 1CR supports UEFI I've just been using DS for all of my backups, which while reliable is just not as convenient as when I was using 1CR for my daily's. Get it now?

Got it. I can see where 1CR would be most convenient for making daily backups of your C-drive to another local drive/partition. Too bad 1CR seems to have been discontinued and that the last version is probably incompatible with UEFI/GPT systems - but it is what it is!
