xVDF is extending the old nVDF from 32 to 256 files with one local cache local_.vdf but the wearied thing even xVDF has shipout the updater Log wilL still have this error line Could not initialize the engine with XVDF support. Return code: 720127 Update 5 402 stilL got crashing and blank page when surfing the site when we modified the setup avnetflt.sys cannot be started anymore until you restart your computer

this new beta 5 is def slower the beta 4 overall. the system is less responsive and overall is for sure slower at most things then before. i made a image with beta 4 and one with beta 5 and compared the two and beta 4 was in fact faster at extracting a large .rar opening programs for the first time after boot up, transferring files to and from external usb etc. ive timed the exact same procedures with both under the exact same variables. its not a huge amount slower but noticeable.
Agree with you zfactor, and webprotectin gives several blank pages ... pfff uninstalled it, going back with 360
the blank page when you browsering web was cause by the web protection services got crashes itself i have submit an dump files of that crash to avira(using procdump) when using procdump to creation any avira program memory dump file you Have to disable the avira self-protection
Because it looks that 360IS is a dead product (will no longer be developed) and 360TS is not realy ready (consuming more megs then internet security) btw i have no issues with avira free (actualy love it), only with avira IS (webprotection)...thats why i uninstalled Avira Internet security (beta) anon what AV are you using ?
anyone who is a beta tester PLEASE report the blank pages issue if you have it asap. avira says they see no issues after the beta 5 update in their labs with this issue. i hate for them to believe the issue is fixed when its really not. thank you. possibly a new issue though im still confirming if its coming from avira of firefox but i have a issue with the new beta 5 where downloads are not finishing properly. they will randomly just stop somewhere im the middle and say they are actually done but in fact they did not finish fully. will be testing this today to see if its avira. but the only system change to this machine since this has been happening is the new beta 5 update. nothing else was changed.

Maybe because i'am on Windows 7 64bit ? 9 out of 10 times i have a white page, disable webprotection and it works very well....
No issues with that page either. @Spokesman, yes yours may be related to your OS and/or another security app installed.

Auto updated to latest version 14.0.4.642 today. It would hang installing new files so I ran the cleaner and did a fresh install.
Will someone please post a link to Avira release history? I would appreciate it. I'm doing a little research on Avira. I think this will be my next paid antivirus (Avira Pro?). I like the changes they have made.
