For the past few days Ghostery has been behaving in a different manner. Until recently Ghostery would popup within a few seconds of entering a site showing me what was being blocked. Now that popup takes about 45 seconds to show itself. This concerns me. Anyone else seeing the same?

At least it is shows for you. The past couple days, or so, although it was enabled in IE 8 browser add-ons it never showed on the toolbar nor in task manager for me. I don't know if it got corrupted when I updated avast from V8 to RC3 and later to 9.0.2006, which I then removed Monday nite to install Panda Cloud. I uninstalled Ghostery last nite and reinstalled it, which got it working again. But when enabled it causes IE to hog 100% CPU. I have it disabled for now.

I have a different issue. I am unable to use v5.2.0 because its icon disappears from the toolbar after awhile. I reverted back to v5.0.6, which doesn't have the issue.

i did not notice this behavior because i have the Alert Bubble turned off in the Advanced Options.
i enabled it and it takes about 10-15 seconds for me for the Bubble to appear.

i suggest you disable it and see if the blue Ghostery icons lags in showing the number of bugs/trackers.

The latest versions seem to be a bit buggier, a month ago I removed Ghostery in Firefox, and replaced it with Abine´s DoNotTrackMe, which has been improved a lot. On Opera I´m still using Ghostery though. :)

I ended up removing Ghostery altogether from IE 11 as it did nothing but use memory resources. It still functions decently with FF.

with only Wilders open in Chrome it takes 24 megabytes, CPU usage is negligible.
that is on a XP computer at work.
