I heard that Zonealarm AV uses Kaspersky engine. Is it the same as the commercial Kaspersky engine?
By the way, I use Avira free, Comodo Firewall with Defense+, Spyware Terminator(real-time shield),and SuperAntispyware for backup scanner.
Am I well protected from the lastest threats? Do I have to switch to DriveSentry and delete Avira and ST?

Yes to the first question and no to the second.

CheckPoint (ZoneAlarm) licensed the Kaspersky V6 anti-virus engine for use in their product line.

.. which is older than the engine used in v7 or v8 AFAIK. What differences there might be in protection is however something I can't answer.

Does Zonealarm Antivirus protect you from Qhost infections?

Asking whether some AV protects from malware XYZ is IMHO pointless. In general, no product detects 100% of malware in existence. And even if it does detect this particular pest, what guarantees do you have that right after that detection is published you won't get a newer variant that bypasses AV?

What comes to ZA AV, it should boast similar detection rates to Kaspersky AV.
