I've just found this program, Zeb Protect: it's an hardening tool, with three types of features:

*Can disable five types of files/folder shares (single file and folder sharing under XP Pro, shared folders under XP, administrative shares (C$ and ADMIN$), remote administration share and printers share)
*Can disable potentially dangerous account types (Anonymous, Guest, Remote registry, etc)
*Can close some critical ports (RPC, time, 137 139, 445, IPSEC, Upnp, 1023, 1024, etc).

I didn't try it yet, but it does look like a good alternative to other tools. It was done by a French site, Zebulon.

    Cheers,

How safe is the convert from FAT32 to NFTS?

    That option scares me.

Um . Look hard ! It is a joke that they tell you to download a separate zip file to get the security tab . OUCH !!!! STUPID !!!!!!! Nice possibilities but , pretty pathetic to do this . Good luck

What about people running XP Pro? :D
I guess it's just intended to make the download smaller, and you get the zip only if you need it.

    Cheers,

It doesn´t look that special to me, I´m happy with SafeXP, Samurai and XP Antispy. ;)

You know, I keep seeing all these references to Samurai but I have no idea where to obtain it. The only link I've been able to dig up was to a now non-existant GeoCities page. Anyone know where I could get it, and what the most recent version is? Thanks!

Nevermind -- Was able to find it by digging deeper in here, thanks.
