You can test Webroot Internet Security Complete 2010 (WISC)

I got an opp to test Webroot's newest product - in beta. Got the OK to offer to the Forum.

I like some of the new features. Interested to hear what others think - i have let Webroot know that I like the new UI.

 

What's different from the 2009 version and does Webroot still use Sophos av and PrivateFirewall?

It looks like a total remake. Way to go, WEBROOT!!

All that I read on the linked page is a new GUI. Not necessarily a switch from the engine (Sophos) that is being used.

 

It seems they have created something new on online banking, password protection, but are these what we are looking for?

 

If I recall correctly, they use Sophos for their antivirus.

Check av-comparatives. The detection rate is low, and it suffers from many false positives.

Sophos' AV is actually an enterprise product. As such, it may be good (?), but not as a consumer product.

I don't think that the Webroot suite is as good as a good AV/suite (av-comparatives).

 

In my mind,I think I could test WIS2010...

But,the true is, the test of WIS2010 is coming...Not right now...

Still must be waiting...

 

I always had problems with Webroot firewall and Antispyware . ILiked the old GUI tho'
