Okay, I'm new to here and I've read through the posts of other "any-find" threads. The solution and file types seem to be slightly different on each thread. I have a program called SpywareGuard that lets me know (about every two minutes or so) that my homepage has been changed, but SG allows me to quickly revert to old settings. Nevertheless, the constant interupption is killing me. I'm also have four links added to my favorites that I can only assume are porn links (none of them are valid).

    Here is my Hijackthis report:

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close all windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

    Restart to safe mode.

How to start your computer in safe mode

Because XP will not always show you hidden files and folders by default, Go to Start > Search and under "More advanced search options".
Make sure there is a check by "Search System Folders" and "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search system subfolders"

Next click on My Computer. Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and "Hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
    Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Now find and delete:

    The C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe file
    The C:\WINDOWS\System32\services folder
    The C:\WINDOWS\System32\wnsintsv.exe file
    The C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\Application Data\stts.exe file
    The C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\winlogin.exe file
