XP search animated characters are missing

    Hi
    XP machine has only "merlin" . Any idea how to put the other characters back. Thanks

    To change a character you have to go into start/ search/change preference's/ Then tick on with different character where they should all be displayed. If they are not there for any reason this would normally indicate a fault with some tweaking/ cleaning utility that you may have? As some in the past have been known to remove the characters

    Yep. they aren't there except "Merlin". As you correctly indicate the guy said they disappeared after a use of a cleaning program. Is there any chance to put them back. thanks

    Thanks for the link. but he wants the originals.
    in my setup I see that there are dlls in C:\windows\msagent and
    C:\windows\msagent\intl
    but only Merlin in C:\windows\msagent\chars .
    If I copy the folder (mine) C:\windows\msagent
    and paste it in the other computer's C:\windows\
    will the charaacters reappear. Thanks
