I knew there would be some drawback to a low price!

Give me a minute to figure this out. My apologies.

Apologies for my delay, and for this inconvenience. I've changed the coupon value to $4. With a discounted price of $5, you'll now need to pay $1 for BugBopper, using the coupon.

I'm eager to hear what you think of the product.

Thanks again for doing all this. But I have got an email from you that says
    So, will I be paid?
btw, to say the truth I have a Paypal account only. I never did any online purchase, so there is no balance in there.

Anyway I was testing Wazzup against some set of old malwares. It seems that it skips NE files. So it performed bad in the second set. Please have a look in that.

Our queue of unanalyzed uploaded files is only 9 minutes long, so I believe that every executable in your machine should now be known to be malware or clean. Do these executables have the expected file extensions? Are they in archives or are they sitting in the file system? If they have the expected file extensions and are part of the file system, then I'd urge scanning again, and seeing what result you get now.

Please let me know what the outcome is.

I kept them in a folder and tried to scan. few of them are in an archive. I had 5000 samples but it scanned about 1300 of them among which the 1266 were detected.
Hitman pro had the same problem.

The standard order page at https://shop.bugbopper.com/checkout.sc has a sneaky field for Country at the top. See this clip: http://bugbopper.com/images/deleteme.png

I think if you choose UK, you should be all set.

Let me know if you have any troubles.

Not sure why this would happen. I think the log can certainly handle 5,000 entries, though maybe not.

This version of BugBopper will not examine files inside archives, and will not examine any file that does not have the extension of a traditional executable, such as ".exe" or ".dll" or about 50 others. So if you have a file with a non-executable extension, or without an extension, it will be ignored. Our philosophy is that such a file cannot be run without being renamed, so is reasonably safe. [A future version of Wuzzup and BugBopper will likely have an option to look at every single file.]

Can you confirm that the missed files had valid executable extensions, and were not in an archive? If so, could you zip the mess up, and send it to me? I want this right. You can mail anything we miss to David@BugBopper.com.

You are right they have no such extensions. Some are 16 bit files.

I want BugBopper to detect every piece of malware out there, regardless of the age of the file. I'd be delighted if you could zip those with no extensions, and send them as an email attachment to me at David@BugBopper.com. I'll make sure that we _do_ detect whatever malware is in the zip. Our next release should include an option to find stuff with missing or whacky extensions.

The people in this forum are exactly the people we want to impress with BugBopper, and to do that we need the program being used. To that end, here's an offer:

Members of the forum who want a gratis licensed copy of BugBopper, send a note to Jim@BugBopper.com. Your note should contain your real first and last name, and come from the email address you'll use to register your copy (each installed copy must be registered to an email address).

Jim will add you to our database of registered users, and when you install and register BugBopper using that same email, it will come up "Licensed (pending)". You'll immediately receive an email from the registration daemon with a validation number; follow the instructions there to enter the validation number, and you'll be "Licensed" without qualification. These will be nominally "Home" licenses, installable on up to five machines. If you can make a case for more, Jim can probably accommodate you. If you make a good case, of course.

You can retrieve a copy of BugBopper any time here: http://bugbopper.com/BugBopper/Download/.

We're only doing this for a short time, and of course reserve the right to withdraw the offer at any time. But we do think you'll like BugBopper, and we'd love to hear about it in the Forum.
