    Destructive: No

    Aliases: W32.BEAGLE.I@MM, W32/BAGLE.I@MM

    Description:

This memory-resident worm is a mass-mailing worm that uses its own SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) engine to propagate. It sends out email messages with a spoofed return address to target recipients, which it gathers from an infected system. The email message that it sends out has varying details.

It also spreads by dropping malicious files in folders that have the text string ‘shar’ in their file names.

It runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP.
