...The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available"

    Hey, all :)

Just installed 204p2 & then 205b3 over that installation on 2K SP4, running on a home LAN thru a Linksys BEFSR41 to a cable modem.

Set ETH & IGMP rules as posted above (set both to allow both directions) & unblocked TCP: WinNuke and UDP: NetBIOS rules from the EnhancedRulesSet.

If we click through Network/Entire Network/Microsoft Windows Network/Workgroup we get the not accessible error message.
If, however, we do a name-specific Search for Computers we can access another PC on our LAN.
    o_O
Can anyone explain this discrepancy and suggest how to fix access through Network Neighborhood?

    hmmm...
Seems to be working this morning :doubt:

Should LNS need to be restarted to implement Internet Filtering rules changes?

NOTE: We dual-boot to XP Pro w/Sygate on this box & have none of these issues when booting back<->forth to test these network problems.

    - again, now. WORKGROUP systems can be found via Search for (specific) Computers.

Never had this problem before installing LNS. Previously had McAfee's firewall on this Win2K system - just didn't like the interface & options.

Suggestions before going to something else?

"Stops UDP broadcasts to *.*.*.255." seems to have been the culprit, which is probably obvious to those here in the know...
